THE APPLE
As the phrase has it, „one apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Still, we think of apples as fruits rather than herbs.

Freshly pressed plain apple juice contains mainly water soluble agents. However, other important ingredients of apple, many of which can be found in the seeds and the peel of the fruit, are mostly fat or alcohol soluble.
Fortunately, today, several technologies are available that can be used to extract all active ingredients from apples, and to put them into the juice, almost as if creating liquid apple.
This liquid kind of apple, besides being highly enjoyable, may bear all the characteristics pertaining to the raw fruit.
WHAT IS INULIN?
Inulin is a large water-soluble fibre, a composite carbohydrate compound that is not a sugar, even despite it is sweet. Humans cannot digest it, so you do not have to be afraid of extra calories when consuming it.
Inulin has a prebiotic effect. This means, that since the digestive enzymes in the upper gastrointestinal tract do not affect prebiotics, they are able to get to the colon in their original form to stimulate the propagation of positive bacteria, the so-called probiotics. A healthy gut flora is key to the right functioning of the immune system, as a large part of the immune system is in the intestines. Latest research has found that the condition of the gut flora affects our mood.
Colon pH changes when the decomposition of water-soluble fibres starts. This means the development of acidic byproducts that make the colon pH more acidic. Acidic pH is better for the propagation of beneficial gut bacteria. As the pH of the intestine decreases, the solubility of several vital mineral salts increases, thereby improving the human body's calcium and magnesium supply. The presence of inulin in the diet may also eliminate constipation.
